The Bank Assets Management Company (BAMC) was established as a state-owned company in 2013 to help strengthen the stability of the Slovenian banking system.
The company quickly developed into a top-level knowledge centre for the effective management of distressed assets and corporate restructuring. In this way it maximises the value of its assets, and sells them at the right time. This allows it to realise its basic mandate of ensuring that as much as possible of the money invested in the banks is returned to taxpayers.
Over its lifetime BAMC has developed unique skills, specific knowledge and best practices, and is recognised for its comprehensive, individually tailored and target-focused treatment of every case that it manages. Teams of experienced experts in various fields create unique optimal solutions for each asset, to the benefit of all stakeholders. They carry out their work transparently and with full regulatory compliance.
The European Commission has recognised BAMC as a role model, and one of the main authorities in the area of high-risk asset management. Further evidence of its high level of corporate integrity came from the Anti-Corruption Compliance System Certificate, of which BAMC has been the sole holder in Slovenia since 2015.
